Yestadt Millinery Makes a Movie
And that means you get to see our edition in action.

“Listen, if you’re wearing neon-colored bows, you’re obviously ready to have a party,” Jane Pincus, one half of the Yestadt Millinery team, says with a laugh. She and her partner in crime, Molly Yestadt, decided to go a little crazy with their Of a Kind edition, bringing in director and pal Matt Kliegman to make a little movie that not only shows you how to work these suckers but also gives a look at how they were made. The inspiration: Fat Joe’s video for “So Much More”—with model Chantal Adair and Kraftwerk’s “Neon Lights” doing the heavy lifting here. Matt was able to recruit some last-minute help to really nail the concept. As he explains, “There’s a cool lighting place around the corner from the studio that custom-made us an ultra-violet light rig in, like, ten minutes. The video is lazer-y, but we still wanted it to feel home-cooked.” Now’s about time to watch the thing yourself. —courtney mccarroll
