When you burn both ends as a general way of life, it’s really important to have a track like ‘Can You Feel It’ by The Jacksona that just gets your juices flowing.” —molly yestadt of yestadt millinery

I started playing ‘A Little Respect’ by Erasure a lot over the summer while I was working because it definitely does the trick when I’m feeling overwhelmed. It puts me in the best mood, and I just want to dance every time I hear it! It’s always been one of my favorites.” ann yee

I really love Have One On Me’ by Joanna Newsom because it is poetic to me. I admire Joanna’s skills as a songwriter and musician, and I love the way the song sort of meanders.” —amber jimenez of ambit

“I discovered ‘Wildest Moment’ by Jessie Ware a few months ago, and I read somewhere that Jessie wrote this song for her good friend and that it basically sums up their relationship. Since then, Jessie has been blowin’ up. When this song comes on randomly on my iTunes, it always reminds me of my friends. My friends have been super supportive of what I do, and I wish we could spend more time going on road trips to the beach, hiking, or just hanging out together. A lot of my new designs have been the kinds of bags that would be perfect for these kinds of trips—if only I wasn’t so busy and was able to go.” —vincent lai of skinny vinny

“During the day I relied on Frank Sinatra, Django Reinhardt, and Edith Piaf to keep the mood in the studio upbeat and even-tempered (thanks, Pandora). But after-hours—and through long, late nights finishing up the collection—I would revert to the new release from the label Cut Mistake Music—in particular, the more experimental and ethereal first track by the band cnnr called ‘Candide,’  which helped bring me out of my element and focus on the intricacies of the collection. The B-side tracks by No Regular Play are perfect to get me moving around the studio.” —tara st james of study
