For Kate Jennings, creating a fresh new fragrance and apparel line started with something old—well, really, many old somethings. Her Richmond, Virginia, shop Na Nin began as a vintage clothing store, founded in 2009 after a year spent living abroad in South Korea. The store quickly became not just a popular cool-kid hangout, but also an inspiration source the internet over. In 2014, she took things further and started mixing up her own scents and candles, designed to evoke her favorites songs and ‘round-the-world trips—think a perfume with notes of basil, rose, and geranium and a candle with the misty and leather-y notes of the Amalfi Coast. Next on the list? Soaking salts, inspired by Kate’s love of a good bath.
