Holiday Shipping & Returns
It’s super important to us that we get your order to you before the holidays. We will try our best, but know that delays occasionally do happen because of the volume of packages shipped during this time of year. When in doubt, order early! Please note FedEx 2 Day and FedEx Standard Overnight orders placed after 2 p.m. EST will ship the day after they are placed.
Below are the last days to place your order to ensure delivery by December 22nd (Christmas is on a Monday this year, so we have to get it to you by the Friday before!):
- FedEx Ground to the West Coast: Thursday, December 14th
- FedEx Ground to the East Coast: Monday, December 18th
- FedEx 2-Day: Tuesday, December 19th
- FedEx Standard Overnight: Wednesday, December 20th
- DHL Express: Thursday, December 14th
Please note: All gifts (excluding items marked as final sale) can be returned for store credit within the returns window. We are happy to extend our returns policy to January 5th on all orders placed between November 1, 2017 through December 22, 2017.
We offer a variety of shipping options at checkout, however strongly encourage customers to choose the "signature required" delivery option because of the risk of loss or theft. When the "no signature required" delivery option is selected at checkout, we're unable to be held responsible for replacing packages.
Also note that if you order multiple items, they may come in multiple packages—but you pay just one shipping fee!
For orders shipped to destinations within the United States, our standard delivery method is FedEx Ground, for which we charge a flat rate of $9.50. All orders will be shipped within 3 business days, pending credit-card verification—wahoo!
We also offer overnight shipping for $19.50, and 2-day for $14.50 via FedEx. Please note that certain items (as noted in their product descriptions!) aren’t eligible for expedited shipping. Sorry about that!
International orders are shipped via DHL Express for a flat rate of $34.50, and should arrive in 3 to 4 business days, pending customs.
Please note that all international packages may be subject to additional customs, duties, or other fees (bummer, we know). We don't have control over these fees—they are calculated by each country's customs department—and, unfortunately, we cannot not be responsible for them.
Please also be aware that international packages may be delayed due to customs. Feel free to email email@example.com if you have any other questions on this front!
We accept returns on eligible domestic orders that are received within 21 days from the day the order was placed. All returns must be unwashed and unworn and include all original packaging (like certificates of authenticity, Professional Enthusiast tote bags, shoe boxes, the original invoice attached to the order, and tags with no signs of damage). Please note that original shipping charges are non-refundable. Once we've received the item(s), we'll process your refund or store credit within 5 business days, and shoot you an email to let you know. Also, note: Of a Kind has the right to deny credit for any returned goods that do not meet the requirements of our return policy, so please treat our pieces with lots of TLC!
HOW TO START A RETURN
To get the return process started, just click this link! You can select the item(s) you're returning, and we'll automatically generate your return label. There will be an $8 deduction from your refund to cover the cost of return-processing. Certain Professional Enthusiast and Permanent Collection items are eligible for free returns and won’t be subject to the $8.00 fee. If you would like your refund in the form of store credit, please leave us a note or email us at email@example.com, and we will waive the $8 processing fee.
To make sure you get the correct item/size you want, we suggest that you place a new order and then return your original order. We’re happy to waive the $8 return-processing fee in these instances and process your original order for a full refund; just email us at firstname.lastname@example.org to let us know.
FINAL SALE ITEMS
Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on the following: international orders; paper, sock, personal care, select wedding items, personalized fine jewelry, and items explicitly noted as final sale on our site.
Please read the fine print when using a promotional code, as items purchased using a code are often only eligible for return for store credit or are final sale. All international orders are final sale and not eligible for return, regardless of code used. Codes are applied before the cost of shipping, handling, and tax. They may not be applied to previous purchases, purchasing of gift cards, fine jewelry, or shipping fees. Other exclusions may (and often do!) apply, so please reference fine print.
RETURN TO SENDER
We're happy to ship packages that are returned to our warehouse back to you—we just ask that you pay for shipping. Please email email@example.com to start the process and let us know if you prefer to have it sent to a different address or if you have any questions. We'd hate for you to miss it again!
We’re so excited that you want to gift something from Of a Kind! Our packing slips don’t show any prices, so we’ve got you covered on that front. To write a note to your BFF (or whoever is lucky enough to be your giftee), enter your message in the gift notes section at checkout. To purchase a gift card, click this link. We will email you a certificate that you can either print out or forward directly to the recipient.
If you’ve been gifted something from Of a Kind that isn’t quite your speed, you can return it for store credit. Just contact firstname.lastname@example.org with your gifters name, and we would be more than happy to help you find something else.
