There’s one perennial constant at Of a Kind HQ (aside from Vanderpump Rules recaps): nuts! Our stockpiles of ‘em help us survive those days when all we have for lunch is...more meetings. To keep things interesting, we asked snack-food genius (and totally offish nutritionist!) Marissa Lippert to take a minute out from dreaming up craveable dishes for her NYC cafe Nourish Kitchen + Table and her brand-new business Nourish Baby to help us mix them into some genius trail mixes so we don’t get a raw (almond) deal.



“Nuts pack in healthy omega-3 fats and some protein to keep you satisfied and to keep your blood sugar steady, but choose wisely or you can end up eating a ton and still feeling unsatisfied—the ones below are particularly filling in small quantities.”


Choose 2 Cups:

  • Walnuts
  • Cashews
  • Tamari-roasted almonds
  • Pecans
  • Hazelnuts



“This delivers a little energy boost of natural sugar and some fiber! Sprinkle with a pinch of pink himalayan salt, which will add some extra minerals and make that fruit taste even better.”


Choose 1 Cup:

  • Strawberries
  • Goji berries
  • Apricots
  • Golden raisins
  • Prunes
  • Dried cherries
  • Dried mango chunks
